Top 5 PlayStation 3 Games List

Along with asking my daughter for her Top 5 games, I also asked my boyfriend if he would be willing to compile a list or two of his own. He complied this list of PlayStation 3 games, but his reasons sound more like a professional ad than a personal recommendation list. :P

1. Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
Now this PS3 exclusive title is something wondrous to behold, as Naughty Dog has created a great franchise once again. It takes platforming, adventure, and storytelling to the next level. Nathan Drake, our wise-cracking treasure hunter sets off on many adventures throughout the world with a colorful cast of allies and villains. Be sure to check out Uncharted, it’s worth every penny.



2. Demon’s Souls
From Software introduced players to a world of gritty medieval combat and dark story-telling. You can choose from 10 different classes, and customize the look of your avatar. This game is not for the casual gamer, it requires finesse and strategy to overcome the many hordes of demons. But do not be put off by that, for the combat system is rewarding and the treasures that lay undiscovered are worth the frustration. When you die in the game, it is not the game’s fault but entirely yours.

3. Saints Row: The Third
It seems that with every installment of Saints Row, everything gets crazier. You take command of the Third Street Saints, and take control the city of Steelport. Almost everything is customizable from your hero/heroine’s clothing to the type of gang members you have in your army. The story may be predictable at times, but the open-world will keep you entertained for months. Especially using a large purple dildo bat as the weapon to decimate your enemies. Not something serious as Grand Theft Auto, but it gets the work done.

4. Red Dead Redemption
It has been quite a long time since game developers touched the Western genre, and Rockstar Games has created something is both intelligent and fun to play. Unlike the Grand Theft Auto series, everything decision you make has a consequence. The game borrows from a lot of great Western movies like A Fistful of Dollars, The Searchers, and The Big Country. And that’s a good thing, as Rockstar wanted to create something authentic for their fans to enjoy.

5. Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack In Time
Our heroes Ratchet and Clank are back in this platforming masterpiece, and this time Dr. Nefarious is not the only villain threatening the known universe. This installment features a lot of goodies like being able to upgrade your ship, weapons, and armor. Ratchet will be able to travel to different planets and different sectors, while Clank will help mend the Great Clock facility with his mighty chronosceptor. It has everything for everyone from a superb combat system, challenging puzzles, unique weapons, and cute story twists. Be it you’re a hardcore Ratchet & Clank fan or newcomer, this game is sure a treat.
